I imagine its great with friends too bad i don't have any. Worth the 5$. I have no idea how to explain this game to new people, all I know is that I can't stop playing it. If I'm having a bad day I put on my SoundCloud playlist and go for a run.. Really good game if played with friends :). Speedrunners is a great game to play with friends, or alone.The solo mode of the game is decent in the sense that it lets you master the game mechanics by playing on the different maps and by letting you discover the different pickups that exist in the game. You also get to unlock new characters and skins which is a nice reward for completing the "storyline". Do not expect deep storytelling with emotional moments though, you literally get introduced to four characters with a single sentence or two and that's all there is to it (and it's enough for the game I would say). The difficulty level is alright, although unfair at times (one of the difficulty settings literally is called "unfair"), because it makes the AI players run faster than you do. It would have been better if instead it was smarter and used the pickups in a more intelligent manner or managed to gain momentum the way real players do.I cannot talk a lot about the multiplayer mode because I only managed to get in a lobby once: only 70-ish people play the game at a given time, which makes it hard not only to find players with your level (on my first game I was matched with someone with the highest rank...), but more importantly to find players at all ! The fact that you can play other player's map is quite a nice thing though, and having the players create their own maps just really adds to the game.Speedrunners is best played when played with friends, whether that is on different computers or on the same computer (indeed, it is one of the rare games where you can play with someone on the same computer). The game is really engaging and allows for some nice competitiveness to exist. It is quite easy to pickup, which makes it a nice game to play with friends who might not be used to playing video games. The game is intuitive, smooth, and has rather deep mechanisms.Speedrunners is a great game which I recommand, however, I would suggest waiting for it to be on sales because of the multiplayer mode which is obsolete in reason of the lack of players.. Really cool game, very fast paced. But the amount of anxiety I feel when the screen is closing and you have to try and dodge crates and golden hooks is immeasurable. After playing this game I started sweating from places I didn't know you could sweat. Although, getting a nice combo of hooks, freeze ray and fireball flicks is very satisfying. Definitely recommend this game.. Great game.. SpeedRunners is a fast-paced, competitive and enjoyable experience especially if you're playing with friends or with other individuals around the world. What makes this game so thrilling, is that you're trying to become the best runner within the match while facing some frustrating obstacles and hazards, but the real dangers are the players within the game what makes this game so exciting and worth playing. However, if you do want to play online and go up against people with bad WI-FI signals, then that takes the fun out of the game, but I'd recommend you playing with individuals you know, but if you don't have friends pray if you find people who have good WI-FI connection while playing ranked or quick match. In the end, that's what the game is all about fast, fun and a crazy experience and I truly recommend it if you want something simple, but competitive. It can be enabled in the "Stage Settings" menu.You can now import vertex animation from Alembic files. This has the side effect that exports from software like Quill can be imported and played back in AnimVR!Animation by Nick LaddWe have also made changes that possibly fix the crash-on-startup that a few of you have been experiencing.
